@jgmaz will make a first attempt at this based on @yarikoptic example notebook (please add link in this issue)

Some issues to consider:

Current version of the conversion notebook is able to load some data including metadata. We discussed some next steps, including figuring out which standards and/or existing data files are most similar to ours, so that we can use their naming scheme and organization as an example. @yarikoptic do you have suggestions for where to find existing NWB datasets from labs similar to ours? Do Loren Frank, Buzsaki labs have something already shared publicly?

They did share quite a number of datasets already. I am not sure which ones would be the closest to this one to provide an example. But please skim through the datasets we have on https://gui.dandiarchive.org/#/dandiset

Meeting 2/1/2021, we agree that we want both a set of "raw" NWB files that has all the continuous wideband data, video etc (for archiving, spike sorting, et cetera), and then a different promoted set of NWB file that contains downsampled LFP data, sorted spikes, metadata for actual analysis.

@mvdm to give @yarikoptic access to mvdmlab server so he can run Jimmie's initial script for example data

Idea: convert Jimmie's notebook to script that takes as input: path to raw data and metadata file, then outputs raw data NWB set of files
