Audio appears maxed out

Since about a week, Skip Silence is no longer functioning properly. While the audio sounds normal, the volume appears maxed out permanently according to the plugin, which renders volume detection unusable.

The screenshot shows dynamic threshold enabled, but disabling it makes no difference.

I've been using Skip Silence with the Brave browser for about a half a year. The problem has never appeared in the past. Removing and reinstalling the plugin didn't make any difference.
