Hello,
This is not a bug of the app, is more like a youtube "feature", their web app (that is loaded in electron view) will stop playback when not in focus, like on mobile devices. Legally in an application you should not split the audio and video streams. I had an app on the App Store that was taken down due to this reason.
However you can make a workaround injecting some javascript code after the youtube app is loaded. Feel free to do it and you'll be able to minimize it and still enjoy the audio 😊
