To avoid exposure of your real mail address, it would be nice to have a feature that allows every user to easily create disposable mail addresses. A service such as http://www.spamgourmet.com.

We could just use the spamgourmet-service and just pass all mails of a specific domain or subdomain to this service. Or we implement our own service.

Goal:

  • disposable addresses
  • easy generation (via vexim or vexim-plugin in webmail)
  • don't expose the real address
  • don't expose other disposable addresses

Easiest would be to use a domain/subdomain for this purpose and create random addresses. Or do we want the to be human readable (so we only add a small tag?). Spamgourmet also offers a few more features, what would be nice to have? Reply-Address-Masking, Watchwords, ...
