Twidere (GitHub, F-Droid) was a Twitter client I used back in high school, so it holds a special place in my heart! I continue using it for Mastodon now and would love to use it for Bluesky, too.

Currently, only user profiles seem to load (metadata and sometimes users posts), feeds are empty, and posts are failing to send.

With 1b3489d Twidere for iOS loads the timeline properly, I can't seem to replicate posts failing to send however. Let me know if it's all working for you!

Hi, I'm running Twidere for Android and the behaviour I see is identical to that described by @notpushkin above; is there any chance of getting this fixed? Thanks!

@videah Thanks for looking into it! Twidere for iOS is quite different from the Android version, so the way it calls the API is probably different, too. Unfortunately, I've given up on both Bluesky and Mastodon on phone (no social media on phone = marginally better mental health, haha).

@andrewjohnlowe maybe you could run Twidere through mitmproxy and collect the request logs, so that @videah can investigate it some more without buying an Android phone?

I'll try mitmproxy later, but in the meantime it may be helpful to drop a link to Bluestacks android emulator; I've been using it to run Android apps on my Windows PC with great success — it runs out of the box with no problems. I have installed Twidere on it and replicated the same behaviour that I see on my physical Android phone. An earlier version (v4) exists for Mac (download page).

Update: I noticed that SkyBridge now works fine on Twidere running on Bluestacks, but not on my physical Android (v9) phone. I'm running the exact same version of Twidere (4.1.7) with what I believe is the same login config. I don't know why I had problems on Bluestacks before. Does this information help?
