Asphalt 8 is a fast paced arcade racing game with excellent, in depth and engaging gameplay, and beautiful graphics, developed by Gameloft exclusively for mobile devices.

There is a particular version of the game that I wanted to bring to the community's attention; version 1.2, which is super old but I think would fit really well on the vita. It's one of the first builds of the game, so there aren't nearly as many cars, tracks or customization options in the game as later versions which is unfortunate. With that being said, there might actually be a newer version of the game somewhere out there that would be a better candidate for a port, especially considering how many versions of the game there are, however I think this would be a good starting point for a vita port given its simplistic content offering, and minimal file size (compared to later versions), which I'm assuming would make it easier to do work on.
This is also way before the Tokens and Blueprints got added into the game, which made it very grindy and P2W. If you see a car that you want, just do a little bit of farming for it and it's all yours, no throttled progression and abundant micro transactions in this version.

I played the absolute sh!t out of this game as a kid and I know for a fact that a lot of people recognize this franchise lol. This is my personal favorite out of the entire Asphalt franchise, and I think this game is miles better than Asphalt: Injection. If you've never played an Asphalt game before, this is definitely a fantastic point of entry into the franchise (depending on the version of the game that you play, the latest version of the game is riddled with terribly hindered progression and loads of microtransactions).
