Upzapping and downzapping is great, but seems kind of pointless if there isn't a sorting mechanism that uses the relative number of upzaps, downzaps, upvotes, and downvotes.
i.e. each of the below with the ability to select different timeframes (hour, day, week, etc.)
'Top' (upzaps minus downzaps)
'Best' (upzaps to downzaps ratio)
'Controversial' (lots of upzaps as well as downzaps)
I don't see anything related to sorting in the Features Checklist. Is this in the works? Already implemented and I'm just missing it?
Thanks!

I agree that the reddit-like experience comes with the custom sorting.
For now, as a client, zapddit is relying on relays to provide the data (and they dont have any custom sorting order, yet). So, we need to be creative and find some (censorship-resistant) solution that can solve this.
I created zapddit not to be a exact replacement of reddit in terms of feature parity, but just as a nostr client that is more suitable for a reddit-y person than a twitter-y person. I will explore options and keep you updated when I find a solution.
