Open letter to vmware:

You have tonnes of money. There is an arms race going on out there to who will replace Amazon EC2. You are falling behind because instead of drawing on the millions of nerds who would fix you code for free, they are instead reduced to test monkeys that eventually loose their jobs because you wont open source your stuff so that we can actually make progress.

Stop thinking, take out the purse and make it happen. This is serious.
