this module currently supports a old puppet matrix this should be brought into line with other modules

why? as debian stable currently ships a supported 5.5 version.
why the version rush? https://packages.debian.org/buster/puppet

see voxpupuli/voxpupuli.github.io/issues/229 and 232 for the VP wide discussion. P5 is officially EOL so the general VP consensus was to start dropping it. Which has been happening in other repos for while
