what's the plan to keep the DID method namespace reservation aspect of the Abstract Data model in sync w/ the DID Spec registries?

we need to formalize the process of registering the DID method names and facilitate an automated update to the correct namespace reservation as part of the Abstract Data Model. As @msporny points out (and given the >30 days it took for updates to be reviewed in the did-spec-registries this is not a scalable, nor sustainable solution.

Just a quick question: what's the current process for registering new DID method names to the list in section 9 of the did-spec-registries document?
