Doubt about tuplets.

Hi,

I have one doubt about how to work with tuplets inside tuplets. Musicxml supports it?

How does Musicxml transcribe, for example, this music?

I have this code with OpenMusic , but it not work in Sibelius.

MuseScore can't import that sucessfully either (it BTW does complain: Fatal error: line 12 column 32 Element score-instrument is missing child element.).
MuseScore can notate such a tuplet, but exporting to and importing back from MusicXML doesn't work properly either (so not sure whether it is the export or the import that fails)

@charlesneimog The encoding of the <tuplet> elements looks good. However the <time-modification> elements are not correct. The ratio for the notes in the nested tuplet needs to be the product of all the nested tuplets - in this case, <actual-notes>21</actual-notes> and <normal-notes>8</normal-notes>. See the nested tuplet example in the MusicXML 4.0 documentation.

As already mentioned, this file does not have the <score-instrument> or <instrument> elements encoded correctly, which results in error messages or import failures for other applications. If that is how OpenMusic is exporting them, it will need to be fixed in order for other applications to use these files smoothly. MusicXML 4.0 has lots of online documentation and examples, so these things should be easier to fix now than in the past.

Despite these encoding issues, Finale imports the nested tuplet correctly, although it is not adjusting the outer tuplet bracket as it should.
