'mockup-1' currently displays a hard-coded and hand-picked selection of specs, the original /TR page displayed a list of technology buckets.
@plehegar clarified that space as a "pure Comm" space.
I don't particularly like the idea of hand-picked selections as it raises the question of selection criteria.
@wseltzer's sense is to not constraint ourselves with buckets and @chaals prefers more space for returning results.
So I propose that we have no left-hand side column, which is not consistent with the current website design (and presumably would persist in an upcoming website redesign.)
