Hi there,

Thank you for developing the wandb_workspaces package; it has been a valuable tool for my work with Weights & Biases. I am reaching out to request that the package be made available on conda-forge or another conda channel.

Detailed Description: Currently, wandb_workspaces is only available via PyPI, which is great for many users. However, for those of us using conda or mamba as our primary environment manager, it would be highly beneficial to have this package available through a conda channel. Installing packages via conda ensures better dependency management and integration within conda environments, especially when working across diverse systems.

Why this is Important:

  • Dependency Management: Conda handles dependencies more robustly within its environment, reducing the risk of conflicts that might arise when mixing pip and conda installations.
  • User Experience: Making wandb_workspaces available on conda would improve the workflow for users who rely heavily on conda for their package management.
  • Consistency: It aligns with the availability of the main wandb package on conda-forge, providing a consistent experience for users of W&B tools.

Request: Would it be possible to create a conda recipe for wandb_workspaces and make it available through conda-forge? If there are any blockers or specific reasons this hasn't been done, I would appreciate any insight.

Community Support: If the maintainers are open to it, I’m sure the community would also be willing to assist in creating and maintaining the conda package.

Thank you for considering this request, and for all the work you do to support the W&B community.

Best regards,
Tim
