Hi all,

I have rooted/jailbreak my TV which is really nice so far.
I disabled TV updates from LG because I am afraid that the jailbreak does not work anymore.
Since some weeks now get the error message each time I power on the TV which is a bit annoying. Is there any way on the command line to disabled this popup message?

Or on the other hand-does this dev method work 100% same like jailbreaking and does it take care of my if I installed latest LG updates?

With dev mode, some apps are not supported (for example PicCap), while some apps (Kodi, Moonlight) works.

Blocking this domain snu.lge.com on your router could prevent new update from being detected, and for stopping existing update from being installed:

If your TV keeps trying to install a previously downloaded update at boot, you can stop it by deleting the files in the /mnt/lg/cmn_data/swupdate directory (e.g., Image_Update_Info.xml and Package_Update_Info.xml).

very cool, that worked.
Thanks a lot!

May I ask another question here or do I need to create a new issue to have it clean here?
I have a set top box that is connected to the TV and everytime when I power on the TV then the TV asks me if I I want to allow the TV to switch the box on-which I then do every single time. Do you have a pointer how to create this ok click automatically. Maybe with a "LG Input Hook". But how?
