Recently, we released a new version of WebP Server Go, which brings many new features. Due to some modifications in the configuration file format, we didn’t release version 0.10.9 on top of 0.10.8, but directly used 0.

is there solution to serve images in S3 bucket ? any suggestion?

First of all, you need to make sure your images are publicly accessible on S3, let's assume you have image URL with https://web-image-testing.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/background.jpeg.

WebP Cloud

The most easy way to do this is to use Web Cloud, in this case you can login at https://dashboard.webp.se/
And create a "Proxy" like below:

Then you can use https://some-other-id.webp.ee/background.jpeg for optimized images.

WebP Server Go

If you'd like to self-host WebP Server Go, you can refer to https://docs.webp.sh/usage/multipath/ to create a configuration file pointing backend URL to https://web-image-testing.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com, and it should be working.

One more question, WebP Cloud is great, but Can WebP Cloud do china accelerate from S3 ?

WebP Cloud has not specifically optimized for China, but if compared to directly outputting images from S3, WebP Cloud has reduced the image size. Also, the Cloudflare used by WebP Cloud tends to respond faster in mainland China than AWS (though not by much). Theoretically, the speed should be faster than directly outputting the original image from S3.

I didn't get it, if you'd like to request the origin image, you can just make requests to your origin site?

Yea. That does make sense. but In case I would like to have a unique endpoint to access the images.

If you're using WebP Server Go/WebP Cloud, making cURL requests to image can get the original image(with metadata stripped), as the service render images depending on User Agent and think cURL can only handle original image.
