To update:

  git add *.adoc
  git commit
  git push
  git branch -f gh-pages <branch>
     <branch> is whatever is checked out, usually master
  git checkout gh-pages
  make
  cp installation.html index.html
  git add -f *.html
  git commit -m "Update"
  git push --force
