I've been segmenting my images with Cellpose 3.0 and using Trackastra for tracking afterwards, but I've observed large 'jumps' in my tracks (screenshot of tracked movie below) and I'm not too certain what the cause might be:
I do plan to annotate the errors but in the meantime please let me know if you have any ideas on how I can correct these errors.
Best regards,
Raeesah

Hi Raeesah, great to see Trackastra 3D in action, and thanks for the feedback.
I confirm that such jumps do sometimes show up with our current models, and might occur due to a difference in characteristics between the training data and the prediction data.
As of now, I would suggest to set the maximum linking distance (max distance in the plugin widget) to a lower value if your dataset allows for it.
Thanks Benjamin, that's good to know. I tried lowering the linking distance and it helped.
I do also experience issues with cell identities/colours changing between timepoints, but I think this is a problem related to Cellpose segmentation that I'll try to optimise.
