As the title suggests when panning and zooming with an annotation view, it can cause the 'CoreAnimation failed to allocate XXX bytes'. It can also cause memory warning level 2, subsequently causing the app to crash. This only happens on the device, never in the simulator. I can always reproduce this issue. When ever I use the map without allocating the annotation view, it works absolutely fine.

I got the same issue on an iPod, ios 4.2.1.

I reproduce the issue just by zooming deeply on the line.

I will look deeper to find the problem, maybe it's easy to solve.

Any reasoning or resolution to this yet?
