Questions from participants

  • (During API ppt presentation) The information appear in a different order. ({"iss_position": {"latitude": "49.7870", "longitude": "-140.7310"}, "timestamp": 1677250116, "message": "success"}  May it be an issue as such?
  • (During API ppt presentation) how do you get the endpoints?
  • (During API ppt presentation) Are all the APIs for all websites the same like demonstrated?
  • I tried working with an API but the response was so large it was given in several pages. I found that very confusing. I was just wondering how would you recommend learning more advanced methods for working with APIs
  • why response.content result starts with b'?
  • In Gaurav's example, didn't you also need a question mark in there? https://api.worldbank.org/v2/sources/2/country/{}/series/{}/time/{}?format=json
  • Is there a way to keep track of changes/updates of data of the World Bank? E.g., when recent data is revised. It could be useful if one presents some results and after some time finds these have changed.
  • So if we want to continue learning, what can we use aside from databricks?

the session covers too much. Consider moving argument-based parameters to optional materials to allow more time for client libraries and data vis
