bug?: yarn patch-commit not working as expected

System:
    OS: macOS 12.1
  Binaries:
    Node: 17.1.0 - /usr/local/bin/node
    Yarn: 3.1.0 - ~/.npm-global/bin/yarn

I've tried:

$ yarn patch yamlparser
➤ YN0000: Package yamlparser@npm:0.0.2 got extracted with success!
➤ YN0000: You can now edit the following folder: /private/var/folders/gh/8j5r03zx3jz2njpbyhbn41980000gn/T/xfs-d46d541b/user
➤ YN0000: Once you are done run yarn patch-commit /private/var/folders/gh/8j5r03zx3jz2njpbyhbn41980000gn/T/xfs-d46d541b/user and Yarn will store a patchfile based on your changes.
➤ YN0000: Done in 0s 63ms

# editing the package...

$ yarn patch-commit /private/var/folders/gh/8j5r03zx3jz2njpbyhbn41980000gn/T/xfs-d46d541b/user -s

no warnings/errors output, but the package in node_modules was not changed. :-(
