Add keyless multi-selection mode

Add a new selection mode to select multiple items by clicking on them without pressing the Control or Shift key.

Special considerations for keyboard operation must be taken. Like the arrow keys only move the focus, not the selection, and the Space (or optionally Enter) key toggle an item's selection.
