Currently, we deal with restored backups by having a "backup" room to store data in, and transferring a talk from the main room to that backup room.
It might make more sense to change things so that the system knows there may be more than one recording of a talk, and to allow the interface to select between these alternate recordings.
A future version could then perhaps also switch from one stream to another, make this a kind of nonlinear editor for those users who want to use it -- but that shouldn't need to be part of the first implementation on the 1.0 milestone
