Usage without a trigger

I'd like to know wether it is possible to use this without any triggers, meaning that anything that we type it tries to autocomplete using the field, I tried setting the trigger to empty and that works on the first autocomplete but after writing anything else it won't autocomplete anything.

Would be nice if we could get this feature if it doesn't exist.
