Bing imagery does not guard against overzoom

To reproduce, enable imagery around Dublin, Ireland and zoom in. At higher zoom the imagery will be replaced with error tiles.

Hmmm, is there a way to dynamically figure out how much detail is available at different places? I'm unsure how this could be limited...
