Afterparty

Wanneer mensen verzanden in discussies over details tijdens de Daily Stand-up, parkeer ze dan en voeg een onderwerp toe aan de "Meteen hierna"-lijst. De regel kan zijn dat als iemand een T-handsignaal geeft, de discussie wordt verplaatst naar na de Daily Stand-up.

Zodra de Daily Stand-up over is, kunnen diegenen waarvoor het nodig is (of die belangstelling hebben) blijven en de genoteerde onderwerpen bespreken. Sommigen noemen dit de "Afterparty".

Zodra een onderwep is besproken, streep het dan door. Na het behandelen van alle onderwerpen kan de lijst weer worden leeggemaakt zodat deze klaar is voor de volgende Daily Stand-up.

Voor sommige teams is dit een geweldige manier om de Daily Stand-ups korter en meer concreet te maken.

After party

When people derail in detailed discussions during the Daily Stand-up meeting, pause them and add the topic to “Immediately after”. The policy could be that whenever anyone makes a T-shaped hand signal, the discussion is moved to after the Daily Stand-up.

Once the Daily Stand-up is wrapped up, those that need to (and those that want to) stick around and discuss the listed topics. Some people call this the “After party”. 

As each topic is resolved, cross it over. When all have been discussed, clean the area so that it’s ready for the next Daily Stand-up.

For some teams this is a great approach to make the Daily Stand-up meetings shorter and more concrete.
