Nothing in default settings according to Preferences -> Package Settings -> Markmon

I just get an empty file that asks to be saved when I try to close it.

It still works, but I'm not sure (nor is Sublime, apparently) where settings are coming from.

Trying to save the file (after cut&paste of settings from this repo) gives errror dialog from Sublime:

Unable to save ~/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text 3/Packages/sublime-text-markmon/sublime-text-markmon.sublime-settings
Error: No such file or directory
