When right click on login entry and mouse over options, cpu jump to 99% for Gorilla.
Sometime only on the second try.
Same bug in preference menu when fly over font size selection.

Impact more important on less powerfully Mac. (1 to 10 seconds freeze !)

On Mac OSX 10.6.8 (Intel) tested on 2 Intel Mac, same issue.
With Gorilla version 15351.

Thank you for your support and great apps !

At the moment, I am unable to repeat this under Linux. I see at most 4% cpu usage moving the mouse over the right click option menu selections from a login entry. I also see the same result on the font selector drop-down menu, at most 4% cpu while moving the mouse over the options. Having no access to Mac OS myself, I am unable to test under Mac OS.

I tried to reproduce your issue on my Snow Leopard 10.6.2

a) right click on login entry: 1 to 10 seconds freeze

issue confirmed

b) Same bug in preference menu when fly over font size selection.

on the second try: issue confirmed

Unfortunately this does not seem to be an application code issue but rather a platform specific issue caused by the Mac version of Tcl/Tk 8.5.9.

As there is now Tcl/Tk 8.5.11 released and we are preparing release 1.5.3.6 I will make a new bundle with the new Tcl/Tk version 8.5.11 and we have to see if the issue persists.

Please enable notifications for this thread in order to get a notice when the new bundle is ready for a test.

Thank you for your support !
I will test release 1.5.3.6 when available to download, and come back to you.

Thank you.

In the following site you can find the new pre-release 1536 compiled with Tcl/Tk 8.5.11

http://zdia.de/packages/gorilla/1.5.3.6/PWGorilla-pre1536.zip

On my system there is no right click bug any more. Hope your testing will prove the same.

Hey, great !
Thank you.
Confirmed. No more CPU abuse ! Cool.

I found another one :-) : "Open Url" say : "error launching browser, the OS error message is: couldn't execute "/Applications/Safari.app": permission denied". Try with FireFox, same thing. Curious, but less annoying then my first post. It's certainly Mac OSX that don't want that an application launch another one in this type of function, for security reason.

Thank you for your quick support !

That one is covered in the help. (Help->Help). Look under Launch Browser / Tips for Mac users. MacOS "launches" differently and the entry that belongs in the "executable to launch" of the browser tab of the preferences is different for MacOS.
