Hi,
I am really fascinated by your work with excalibrain! Thanks a lot for the plugin! I just start to use it and have the feeling it could transform the connection between my thoughts.
I also want to use it instead of the folder navigation to keep an I on the connections outside of the folder hierarchy.
However there are two things I struggle with and I wonder if you have an idea for this or the first could be a new feature?
I use obsidian heavenly on my phone. When I now start using excalibrain instead of the file navigator this at the moment has not a very good usability. The only way I find out is to open excalibrain once with a command short link and that always switch between the tab of excalibrain and the current file I want to work on. Much better would be, if I could use the hover or popup functionality (somehow the pop up command also does not exist in my app at the moment, a bug?) and minimize and maximize it. But at the moment this does not work, because when I maximize excalibrain with the hover command and afterwards minimize it, again I have to open the current note via tabs, because obsidian switches to the excalibrain tab.
Do you have a good work around for this? Even better would be if excalibrain could be on the side panel and be open with a command „reveal current file in excalibrain“ by pulling down like it is most practical for me with the file navigator. Maybe this could be implemented?
I use the folder DB plugin to filter notes according to different properties (Yaml-Fields). I used before folders to narrow the filtering down to a specific topic. But when I now use also more links between very different folders to make clear crosslinks, folders do not work for this anymore. The best would be, if I could create Databases based on on the parent file on the level I want for all subsequent child’s on different levels. Unfortunately this is only possible for the first level of child’s. Hence, so far the only option seems to be to start using tags for building categories across folders that also can be used for databases. Or do you see a different option?
Thanks a lot!
Best
Klaas
