Video's autostarting

I've started using Excalidraw again instead of canvas now that we can embed videos and documents. However, I've noticed that once I've started watching an embedded video then it seems to always autostart whenever I open the drawing. I then have to go round stopping a bunch of videos from playing.

Is this a bug or a feature. If a feature, can it be turned off ?
