highlight hard line breaks in markdown

Is there any way to highlight "double spaces" at the end of lines in markdown?

at the end of the line "two spaces" or "\" is a line break in markdown.
I don't want to delete them, I want them to be visible.

No, it's a bit hard to implement due to the restriction:

Hard line breaks are for separating inline content within a block. Neither syntax for hard line breaks works at the end of a paragraph or other block element:

Could it be made a bit simpler, at least?
There’s already a setting in the View menu for displaying spaces.

Could add one more option there?
Show spaces (except single spaces)
