Previous Button - related to a issue / update back in Nov2011

I can see the amend in the comments that noted that the code has been changed to include the ability to have a previous button in order to step backwards. Unfortunately looking that the current version (2.1) it seems to have been removed?

Is this getting added back in at some point and was there a reason for it being removed as it would be very useful to have it back there a project i am working on (creating a user journey / map for the initial time they come to the site)
