## Y-Axis
The following picture shows the baseframe of the machine where you can see the two y-axis rails very well.

The y-axis rails are the two long rails which reach from the front to the back and where the gantry of the bed (the gantry is the construction where the bed is mounted onto) is running along.

You can adjust the tension of the belt by turning it clockwise for increasing the tension and turning it counter-clockwise for decreasing it.
**As two belts are given, make sure to adjust the tension of them as equal as possible!**

## Z-Axis
The z-axis is driven by two lead screws which are connected to each other with a timingbelt at the very top.
Both lead screws are attached and driven by z-axis motors.
The following picture shows the upper part where you can see the the top bearing blocks both lead screws rest in, the pulleys and the timing belt which connects both lead screws.

At the bottom part of the lead screw there's a 10mm long unthreaded part and at the top this part is 20mm long, the outer diameter of these shafts is 5mm.

The rods are mounted to the 5mm shaft of the motor by a rigid coupler at the bottom.

### Lead Screws
The lead screws are T8x8 type of lead screws, means they are 8mm in diameter with 8mm lead ('distance' of one complete rotation), 2mm pitch and 4 starts. The total length is ???mm.

At the bottom part of the lead screw there's a 10mm long unthreaded part and at the top this part is ~23mm long, the outer diameter of these shafts is 5mm. Means, you can *not* just get one of those typical lead screws which have the thread going all along the whole length of the rod if you need a replacement!

The following picture shows the unthreaded part at the bottom which is 10mm long - the part at the top is ~23mm long.
