I feel good about where I got to with this, though there are some bugs. I got a bunch of help with the assigning classes part yesterday, and today went through and refactored the one big method to have smaller single-responsibility ones, and that was really satisfying! CSS continues to make me want to .. stop doing CSS. :P But I do like all the fancy jquery effects like pulsing hovers. (Though I took those out because they were tacky.)
