Always back up your code tree and database before applying an import package or code tree patch!
- Aras Innovator installed (supported version)
- Aras Update Tool || Aras Package Import tool
The installation can be done in one of 2 ways:
- Automated: Using the Aras Update tool (recommended) - Update version 1.9 or higher
- Manually: Using the packages import tool
Log on as "admin"
- start the Aras Update Tool
- choose "local"
- Click on "Add package reference"
- On file dialog find installation folder "Installation" (where you extracted this solution package to locally) and click "OK"
- Click on "install"
- Review the install selection. Click on "Next"
- Select "Detailed logging" and click on "Next"
- Click on "Browse" and select your Aras installation folder (choose folder "Innovator")
- Click on "Import into Innovator DB" and enter your connect parameters for "Innvator URL, Database, Innovator user (admin), User Password"
- Click "Install" - wait until success message appears
CodeTree patches are located in folder "...Installation\CodeTreePatches\Innovator" of this solution
- Select folder "Innovator" and copy it
- Navigate to the root folder of your Aras installation. (i.e. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Aras_Innovator")
- Paste the copied folder to the Aras installation root.
- Confirm "Overwrite" warning.
NOTE: you must clear the browser cache of all clients after deploying the code tree patches.
The import of this solution requires 2 import cycles
Import packages are located in folder "...Installation\imports" of this solution
Log on as "admin"
- Open up the Aras Package Import tool.
- Select relevant database and enter your login credentials for "admin" and click Login
Cycle 1:
- Enter the package name in the TargetRelease field.
- Enter the path to your local *"...Installation\imports\1-imports.mf" file in the Manifest File field.
- Select all packages in the Available for Import field.
- Select Type = Merge and Mode = Thorough Mode.
- Click Import in the top left corner.
Cycle 2 (optional):
- Enter the package name in the TargetRelease field.
- Enter the path to your local *"...Installation\imports\2-imports - PR,ECR,ECN,ECO.mf" file in the Manifest File field.
- Select all packages in the Available for Import field.
- Select Type = Merge and Mode = Thorough Mode.
- Click Import in the top left corner.
- log on as "mmiller" .... (if Makerbot demo database is used)
- Go to TOC Change Management/ECOs
- Find any ECO and open it
- A new tab "Workflow Graph" shows. Go to this tab
- The workflow renders as a graph.
- Grey nodes are start of End points.
- Green nodes are closed activities. Hover over the node to see assignment details
- White nodes are open/pending activities. Hover over the node to see assignment details
- Blue nodes are active activities the current user has no assignments with. Hover over the node to see assignment details
- Orange nodes are active activities the current user has assignments with. Hover over the node to see assignment details
- You can double click on orange nodes and the "Activity Completions Dialog" will show
- Hover over any of the paths to see path details.
- Toobar button "Open Workflow Process" - will open the workflow process form (just like the action/Workflow does.)
- Toobar button "Open Workflow Signoff Report" - will open the workflow signoff report (just like the "signoffs" button on WF process does.)
- Toobar button "Reload" - will reload and re-render the graph
