You can also run the github action on a specific branch without making a pull request.

1. Click on the "Actions" tab at the top of this screen to go to https://github.com/AstarVienna/METIS_Simulations/actions
2. Click on the "Run recipes" workflow on the left to go to https://github.com/AstarVienna/METIS_Simulations/actions/workflows/run_recipes.yml
3. Click 'run workflow' dropdown on the right, select the branch you want to run it on, and press "Run workflow".

You can then find the job in the actions tab again (because there is no PR associated with it).

Creating a test PR is fine too by the way, and sometimes more useful. The previous comment was just for your information.
