W5170M modifications

Both iMac11,2 and iMac9,1 need to remove two jumpers to avoid SMBUS collisions.

To disconnect the temp. sensor IC from the SMBus on the W5170M you need to remove (desolder) the two jumpers circled in red on the bottom layer of the card. And the card will be just as compatible with all (iMac9,1 and iMac10,1 and) iMac11,x machines as before...
