EnergySystemsModelling course

Teaching materials for the Energy Systems Modelling course at BTU CS

The course provides knowledge and tools to understand the fundamental interactions in energy systems. Participants learn:

  1. The features of energy systems and their conversion into mathematical problems.
  2. The basic theory behind LP, MIP and MCP modelling approaches.
  3. How to implement and solve energy-related mathematical problems with GAMS.
  4. How to choose appropriate optimization methods and interpret results.

Lectures: Prof. Dr. Felix Müsgens | Tutorials: Iegor Riepin (2016-2019) & Smaranda Sgarciu (2020)
