Docker images of Bitcoin Knots for the linux/amd64
, linux/arm64
, linux/arm/v7
architectures.
The images are based on Alpine Linux and run bitcoind without a configuration file.
The datadir is at the default /home/bitcoin/.bitcoin
location.
This directory is designated as a Docker volume.
This is the images' default ENTRYPOINT
.
Adjust the CMD
if you want to run the bitcoind daemon with a different configuration.
ENTRYPOINT ["/usr/local/bin/bitcoind", "-nodebuglogfile", "-zmqpubhashblock=tcp://0.0.0.0:8443", "-zmqpubrawblock=tcp://0.0.0.0:28332", "-zmqpubrawtx=tcp://0.0.0.0:28333"]

The binaries contained in these images are built automatically from source using GitHub actions, but they are not deterministic.
For a step-by-step guide to do a deterministic build of Bitcoin Knots and attest the resulting binaries with your PGP key check out the Guix guide.
This image includes the sources of the CPU signet miner from contrib/signet
.
For an example on how to use this image in signet mining mode refer to the miner
service in the compose.yml file of the signet-playground repository.
