About The Pull Request

This ports resprites for all of medical, as well as other roles that use labcoats.

Clothing resprited include:

  • Medical jumpsuits & (some) science jumpsuits
  • Biohazard suits & helmets
  • Surgical Scrubs
  • colored jumpsuits

New clothing added include:

  • RD Jacket
  • surgical caps

Additionally, labcoats were resprited and GAGSified. Its now very easy to make new, colored labcoats for roles.

Ports:

Why It's Good For The Game

I really love using surgical scrubs as a Doctor. The issue is that Surgical Scrubs on Bee look like unfettered ass, and very little Doctors I've seen actually use them. I want them to actually look good, so people are more inclined to use them and not look so generic.

Additionally, widely used clothing like labcoats look really outdated compared to backpacks and PDAs, so they've been touched up to look more modern. I think they look pretty good.

Changelog

🆑 rkz, Imaginos16, axietheaxolotl, Jolly, D4C-420
add: resprited labcoats. Gave roboticists their own labcoat
add: resprited surgical scrubs. Added new surgical caps to match.
add: gave the RD a jacket/labcoat hybrid
add: recolored the CMO to contrast regular doctors and surgical gear more. More in-line with CMO's original Star Trek reference(though how little that matters)

At some point we gotta start making our own sprites for existing stuff if we want to escape the "Old /TG/" label me thinks

Aw, is there a way to keep the current color of the CMO beret? it's one of my favorite berets and colors, i suppose doctors have a ''similar'' version now, regardless of my pickyness they look good

It's rather important that they be kept visually distinct, but I understand.

If I may offer, #12125 , may be of interest, should that go through.

Testing evidence is insufficient. I want to see every single item that changed (Since it uses GAGS, I can't just look at the icondiffbot). I am less of a fan of changing the jumpsuits and labcoats that we already had resprites for, but am all for updating the items that are super old and have never been worked on.

Looking at the list, I really don't like the changes to the jumpsuits that we already had sprites for. I don't think the TG ones look better.

  • The scrubs look way better, since they have an actual sprite now but not the jumpsuits.
  • The new CMO oufits look good.
  • I like the RDs unique labcoat
  • I like the bio suits
  • I'll need to see the jumpsuit changes in a screenshot
  • I like the robotics jumpsuit change, since that thing was just horrible
  • I hate the biosuit helmet sprite, it looks horrible.
