In this project we try to comprenhend the way COVID spreads in Brazil, especifically in the metropolitan region of Sao Paulo. We use diferente analysis techniques and a Linear Regression to answer a few questions.

COVID-19 Analysis Brazil

Description

Basic Analysis of the current situation of COVID-19 in Brasil. Creation of a model based on a hipotheticall scenario where the quarantine would have been more strict. First the model was fed with the actual data and was asked to predit the following 5 days, after that the model was fed data with higher percentages of quarentine and was asked to predict the outcome of a certain period.

Getting Started

These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes.

Prerequisites

Having Anaconda installed on you workstation in order tu succesfully run Jupyter Notebooks and other dependencies as the packages on the import section of the notebook.

Datasets Used

  • Brasil.io - It is a dataset with the number of cases and confirmed deaths. Made by a group of 35 volunteers in order to properly inform the numbers, since the government is failing to do it in time. More Info in the FAQ section of the site.
  • ADESÃO AO ISOLAMENTO SOCIAL EM SP - It is a dataset with the quarantine percentages in the State of Sao Paulo. Made by the Sao Paulo Government with the help of Mobile Service Providers, a monitoring system was put up to estimate the values of quarantine breachers and those in compliance.
