The difference between Blender's built in distributions and this addon can clearly be seen.

Neither random nor jittered particles ensure reasonable spacing between particles, and the jittered pattern forms clear repetitions.

Even with my horrible programmer art, the addon makes forests look more forest-y. Trees often don't leave random patches of grass, or overlap each other. Note the particle density is the same on both cases.

The addon can also evenly distribute less particles than there are faces - Blender's Jittered Particles have problems with this.

Using the density option, you can control where particles appear more tightly.

You can fill volumes with particles as well. None of these balls overlap, thanks to the addon.

Using the "Patchy" noise type, you can encourage the the particles to clump together.
