Better use of sockets
Thanks to @Vollstrecker, improvements to the way sockets are used
File Loading
Blender deletes all animation handlers when a file is loaded. That meant that in v1.6.4 auto keyframes didn't work if you loaded a file while running Blender. This version fixes that.
Simple Fixtures
Handles fixture definitions with missing fields.
For example a fixture without a moving head won't have pan and tilt channels. These can now be left out of the fixture definition.
Framerate goodies
Match your animation framerate when recording auto keyframes. The rest of the time, run at 30fps for smooth previs.
Auto Keyframing
This release integrates better with Blender auto keyframing. Check the new documentation as the settings have moved.
Optimised keyframes
Only creates keyframes for fixtures and properties that actually changed
Offline Rendering
You want to pre-visualise your show, and Evee is great for real time rendering. But you'd also like to be able to send a gorgeous video to your client, rendered in cycles.
With v1.6, you can record your Artnet control stream to Blender keyframes, then lock Artnet in the timeline, switch to Cycles and render out your show. At this point it's a standard Blender animation, so you can use cloud render farms without needing to have the blender-artnet addon installed.
We also now support Point lights, and rendering is a little quicker. More optimisation to come in future versions.
Large Projects
Fixes issues when loading large projects with blender-artnet
Non-realtime
Allow non-realtime rendering by playing a show in using Evee and recording auto-keyframes, then switching to cycles and rendering
Pan Tilt
Much more capability with pan tilt to address the light, or its parent and grandparent - useful for modelling fixtures.
