Reporting Case Data to the CDC

Notifiable diseases should be reported to the CDC, but there is no legal mandate, and there is no real enforcement mechanism to force their hand.
Most do report, but not all.

Hospital Reporting Data Flow

Some places have data warehouses that aggregate this data, which can produce a CSV for upload
Hospitals without resources have the greatest burden
The Data Automation project is focusing on this problem
