Initial release of the version 2.4 wrapper

After version 2.3 never worked as flawless as it should, this version 2.4 release should give back the stability known from the version 2.2 release. It not only update the latest libraries, but also brings the API to the latest level of features.

With the initial release everything is basically working. However some unit tests are still incomplete and thus might fail. Also, some of the ported examples are not (yet) compatible.
