You don't have to do a full cachyos upgrade to enjoy some of the benefits. If you follow the manual install and place the cachy OS repositories at the *bottom* of your pacman.conf, the packages become installable but don't upgrade by themselves. Then you can install just the kernel, or just frequently used app, which is easily revertible. If that works well for you, you can move the repositories above arch and upgrade to get the full cachy.
