Big shout out to Everlanders YouTube channel for giving me the idea. After I discovered the need for a GPS based Speedometer in my upcoming EV project I decided that the RiPi/OpenAuto solution was the way forward...

I didn't want to add physical buttons like Everlanders, which is why I integrated the start/stop buttons into the speedometer app.
