Note: the CollectionBuilder-CONTENTdm template has been deprecated and is no longer updated.
For new projects use CollectionBuilder-CSV which contains updated features and flexibility.
Existing projects using CB-CDM will continue to work fine! However, for all new projects please use CollectionBuilder-CSV. All CB-CDM documentation has been removed from cb-docs site--check out the "docs" folder of this repository for reference.
CollectionBuilder-CONTENTdm is a template for creating digital collection exhibits on top of existing CONTENTdm repositories.
CollectionBuilder-CONTENTdm utilizes CONTENTdm API's to create an engaging "skin" on top of an existing digital collection repository using your existing collection metadata. CollectionBuilder is an open source tool for creating digital collection and exhibit websites that are driven by metadata and powered by modern static web technology.
Visit the CollectionBuilder home for more information about getting started!
CollectionBuilder is a project of University of Idaho Library's Center for Digital Inquiry and Learning (CD?L) as part of the Lib-STATIC toolkit. Powered by the open source static site generator Jekyll and a modern static web stack, it puts collection metadata to work building beautiful sites.
The basic frame work is created using Bootstrap and jQuery. Metadata visualizations are built using open source libraries such as DataTables, Leafletjs, lightGallery, FontAwesome, lazysizes, and Lunr.js. Object metadata is exposed using Schema.org and Open Graph protocol standards.
