Work in Progress (will get pics on here soon)
- Star and Phillips head bits
- Offset screw driver or mini screw driver (Phillips head) to get to screws in carriage rail
- Plastic pry bar
Step 1: Removing Lid
- Open the lid
- Using the plastic pry bar, remove the piece of the lid that's even with the cover of the machine. Note: this piece is glued in in four places so you'll have to really get the pry bar in there. Optionally, you can use a heat gun to try and soften the glue. Just be careful not to melt the plastic.
- With the cover off, you should see four silver star screws. Using a star-tipped scree driver remove these.
- The lid should be removable now. Note, you may want to wait until you get to removing the screws in the rail (step 3) to do so.
Step 2: Removing screws in bottom
- Flip the machine over.
- Remove the four rubberized feet. These should remove easily with your finger nails or pry bar.
- Remove these four screws. You shouldn't need to remove any more screws at this time
Step 3: Removing Screws in the carriage rail
- Flip the machine onto it's back and remove the lid if you have not done so. Notice there is a silver rail that helps guide the tool carriage. The screw heads here are what we will need to remove.
- Using the offset or mini screw driver, remove these screws. You may need to remove the tool sled to remove them all.
