Work in Progress (will get pics on here soon)

Special Tools:

  1. Star and Phillips head bits
  2. Offset screw driver or mini screw driver (Phillips head) to get to screws in carriage rail
  3. Plastic pry bar

Taking off Top Cover

Step 1: Removing Lid

  1. Open the lid
  2. Using the plastic pry bar, remove the piece of the lid that's even with the cover of the machine. Note: this piece is glued in in four places so you'll have to really get the pry bar in there. Optionally, you can use a heat gun to try and soften the glue. Just be careful not to melt the plastic.
  3. With the cover off, you should see four silver star screws. Using a star-tipped scree driver remove these.
  4. The lid should be removable now. Note, you may want to wait until you get to removing the screws in the rail (step 3) to do so.

Step 2: Removing screws in bottom

  1. Flip the machine over.
  2. Remove the four rubberized feet. These should remove easily with your finger nails or pry bar.
  3. Remove these four screws. You shouldn't need to remove any more screws at this time

Step 3: Removing Screws in the carriage rail

  1. Flip the machine onto it's back and remove the lid if you have not done so. Notice there is a silver rail that helps guide the tool carriage. The screw heads here are what we will need to remove.
  2. Using the offset or mini screw driver, remove these screws. You may need to remove the tool sled to remove them all.
