Fixing the SSH Problem

Problem: VMs are a hassle to set-up and take way too much time out of the curriculum. This process of getting people on a vm so they can get working asap.

Proposed Solution:

• Send us an email to [email protected] asking for a vm.
• We make them an account on openstack and send them an ip, username, and password.
• We force them to make a new password with pw expiration.
• For now we will use a mechanical turk, eventually we will automate this
• We will add docs for using the VM
  • Using putty they will login with a generated username and password.
  • Then in securty week we will teach them how to setup keys on their vm.
