Note that the non-png versions have a larger file size as they use the 4k HUD (downscaling the HUD resulted in misbehaving textures)
First things first, configure Dolphin to use textures
- Options (Menu Bar) > Graphics Settings
- Advanced (Tab)
- (Utility) Load Custom Textures + (Utility - Optional) Prefetch Custom Textures
Download the pack from one of the links above
- DDS or PNG pack goes to: %username%/Documents/Dolphin Emulator/Load/Textures
- Graphics ⇢ Advanced: Load Custom Textures
- Graphics ⇢ Advanced: Prefetch Custom Textures (2 GB RAM DDS / 6 GB RAM PNG)
The best way to do this is probably to download Mario64_Dolphin.7z
from
the releases

- Launch Dolphin
Tested to title screen only. Best to use dds version if at all possible.

Use sm64pcbuilder2 to compile sm64ex with External Data and a DirectX backend of your choice. Navigate to the folder res, unpack base.zip and copy all PNG textures into the gfx directory. You need at least 6 GB of free RAM.

- Open the command line and change directory to where you wish to clone to
